April 29th, 2005On our last night shift our crew was invited to the BCIT Hangar to watch HMY’s 757 test the over wing exits chutes.
Hopefully this is the only time we’ll see this kind of thing happen….
The chutes come out with explosively amazing force, after which we were allowed to jump down the slide. I couldn’t believe how fast you can come cooking down the slide! No wonder we have heard that many injuries can occur when the passengers exit the aircraft this way…..
