Sweet Single-Speed Ride….

October 31st, 2006

So – since my camera died on the last ride out here, I, of course, had to come back.
Mother Nature was on my side and managed to give me some sunshine!!

Here is the trail entrance, top of Riverside Drive, Seymour River on our left:

The following are shots of the wildlife I encountered along the way, artsy fartsy yah, but I couldn’t help myself……enjoy!

Awesome tree growing out of the top of the cliff in the previous photo:

Sunrays through the trees, warms the soul….

Fun guys:

Mystery Creek…of course:

This used to be a 2-lane gravel road sometime in the 1800′s:

wtf?? Hopefully won’t be seeing this kind of traffic way up here….

Fisherman’s Trail head: (Seymour River on the right now…)

Some historical stops:

I am actually inside the tunnel (previous picture) which was used as a water pipeline back in the 1800′s:

Neat mossy, old tree:

More history….

This is what the previous picture was referring to:

Good old succession stump:

Trail is getting more like single-track!

Spooky!

…Hello, what’s this?

Oh! It’s the start of a really cool, long boardwalk through the trees!

Sweet!

A little peek through the trees of the mountain view:

Leafy canopy,

fern canopy,

and moss too:

Here is the same tree from afar:

On the way back. You never know who you might run into….

…And that’s not all of the trail. Apparently I have missed the rest of it.
Definitely going back again!
Stay tuned!
