While I was holidays the boys and girls at work put in tons of overtime just to keep the runways and taxiways clear for the traveling public.

Here’s some shots of the action:

Outside of these exciting pictures…not much has happened. There was one more big snow fall at the airport and mountains in which my dream came true and I was able to, finally, plow some snow!

But since then the weather has turned. It has been sooooooo warm, the heavy rains have melted too much snow, to the point that the local ski hills have closed until the freezing level comes back down. In North Vancouver, on the other side of Mount Seymour (where I live) there was a mud slide that took out 2 homes and killed one woman (Capilano College teacher) and injured others. Many homes are now unsafe to be in…..a sad day. I hope conditions don’t get any worse for the families that live in the area.
