I was supposed to have 8 Docs on yesterday’s ride, but some of the boys were MIA from the previous nights festivities. Load up, hit the road and meet Dub at the shop to get hooked up with some sweet, squishy rentals.
We went up to about mid-mountain due to time constraints…so we started with Corkscrew, Pingu and over to Pangor. We ended the ride with the Empress Strikes Back…..then on one of the little trails that lead to the Cove the thing everyone wishes never to happen…..happened. One ofthe boys miss judged the log drop….made a valiant attempt at sticking the landing but instead landed on his head. A quick/thorough assessment and with a lot of team work we got everyone safely to the bottom. As a precautionary measure we made sure we had pictures taken from every angle to be sure that nothing was amiss. All’s well that end’s well tho – I was later informed that our patient was, for the most part, injury-free and will recover soon. Depsite the abrupt end of our ride – the boys were all assuring me that they all had a very good time! My wish was that i had my own camera so I could tell the story better – a pictures is worth a thousand words you know! =)
