DAY NINE…
January 8th, 2005The snow came just in time! After breakfast A la Joe, we headed out of Nelson. No snow here, only wind, but as we took the turn off towards the Slocan the weather changed – in our favor!!
Outside the Valhalla Powder Cats office:

A half hour van ride, and then a half hour of cat road later and we did all our safety checks and transceiver training. Ah ha! The top at last. -12C, and 37cm of fresh fluff on a bottomless base! Days like this only come along every couple of years.
