July has come and gone….how did it go by so fast??

Getting a head start on chore duty…

Hanging out at the beach day (like most days…)

My little choco-monster who likes to eat with her hands…

and can actually eat like a human sometimes,

but odds are against for when she is a choco-monster…

A day at the Summerland Water Park with Caedae!

Sand castle village….

completely destroyed by giant toddler!!

“Hi Mama!!”

Caedae & Chevy having races:

Best buddies!

Caedae had to go home so we found some puddles to play in!

and we learned some more about camouflage!!  Can you see the dragonfly newt??  Chevy didn’t until the bug moved!!

Hide & seek is fun!

Playing at the Water Park!

“Hay You Guys!!!!!”

After the park, we picked up Gramma and took her out for ice cream at Summerland Sweets (only a few blocks away from Grammas and right next door to the steam train!!)

(Do note that THAT IS a child size serving of ice cream at Summerland Sweets….note to self: only order a child size serving for myself next time.  I’m a mean Mom…I was actually hoping that half of her chocolate ice cream would fall off….Winking smile

Lots of FUN = ZZZzzzzzz’s

My girl Loves her stickers….all over her body.

I got our “WeeRide” set up on my bike.  Lemme tell yah, this is a waaaay better way to ride with kids, the trailer dragging behind me was far too taxing, and this way Chevy gets a real feel for what we love to do on our bikes!

Cooling off?

Chevy loving the pimped out Chevy we found at Manitou Beach in Naramata:

Hungry?

Hanging out at the beach in Penticton, waiting for the crew to roll in on their bikes:

What?? ANOTHER day at the beach??

Eating cherries is serious work!

Chevy LOVES her marble collection:

and finally, she fell in the toilet.  Apparently, NOT to impressed with the fact that I got the camera instead of helping her….  Winking smile

See yah next month!

Chevy & Jess’ Excellent Adventure!

August 2nd, 2011

It’s been 3 years since we’ve been to see our friends in North Vancouver….so it’s about freekin’ time!  =D

We made it a girl’s trip, just Chevy, Gramma & I!  Better still, we got to stay with the Tippies in our old hood, and Brett was away, making the girl’s trip complete….all girls at the Tippie house!!!    woot-woot!

We arrived late afternoon and Jess had her pool all ready and almost couldn’t wait for Chevy to arrive, so the first thing the girls did was strip down and play in the water! Followed by the ink & stamps on paper, and then on each other (“tattoos”).  My question….if it said “Washable”, then why oh why did it take a week of baths to get the ink off???  LOL

After dinner the ladies wanted to check out Jess’ park and go for a walk:

on Wednesday morning we met with Aunty Simone (I used to work with her at the YVR Firehall) and we went to a really nice beach in West Van!

After the beach the girls went for a nice dinner out and Veronika met us too!

Thursday was a BIG day!! Chevy & all her friends went to the Aquarium!!

Look who’s here Chevy!!! It’s your Auntie Jenny!!

Chevy trying to catch a fish!

Reflections…

The gang:

Chevy & Jess watching the Beluga Whales:

Lots o’ fishies!

Peek—a-boo!!

Nemo!!

Wake up dude…

Caiman:

The usual suspects:

Siobhan AKA “Shivers”

The other Siobhan AKA “Chevy”

Jessamy AKA “Jess”

and Kainoa!

It was so crowded at the aquarium, we ducked out to play at the park and hang out at 3rd Beach!

Gramma showed Chevy “the bubble wrap of the ocean”….Bubble wrap happens to be one of Chevy’s favorite things….any guesses on what happened after that (and what my car smelled like on the way home)???

“GRAMMMMMMAAAAA!”

Don’t look behind you now Jess…but something is chasing you!!

Chevy’s bubble wrap…..she wanted ME to carry ALL of it and to take it home….

Gramma found some tiny crabs!

Jess’ toes!

Wet & Tired…..the girls lasted all of 5 minutes in the car before I found that I was talking to myself….

Last day….

The girls just had to have matching jammas!

Good bye kisses……………………………& big Hugs!

Sarah had to work and Jess went to daycare, so Chevy & I had some alone time to explore her Daddy’s old stomping grounds:

Chevy is chasing me with her giant maple leaf! (It could have been used as a blanket it was so big!)

This is her Daddy’s childhood home.  Daddy had always told me about how many stairs he had to climb there….so we decided to count all the stairs to the front door, ring the bell and see if anyone was home…..

….39 stairs later some one was home.  Chevy told the nice lady that answered why her house was so special (her daddy grew up in it)Before I knew it, Chevy had her shoes off and was sprinting throughout the house!  Well that’s one way to get yourself invited in!  =D  And as we left she even managed to mooch a banana for a snack.

Hanging out at Panorama Beach until the geese turned violent when they discovered that Chevy DID NOT have anything edible on her.  Cheeky geese were hissing their opinion of her….

Lunch at Honey Goodies served with a wink!

Can’t wait to come back, but better be sooner than 3 years!!  =D
