JULY UPDATE…
July 30th, 2010*sigh* ….. shorts on her head, pull ups down around her ankles…and a few “nuggets” in her hand….
What else can I say?? We’re potty training!!
Chevy & I went for a little hike on our own. We were up above the house in Peachland looking for McCall Lake….
Watch out for Chevy’s Dragon!!!
We went out one night to a big birthday party!!
This is Chevy’s friend, Sophie!
And it was her Daddy’s Birthday!
Chevy had lots of fun playing with her new friend…although she could quite understand why Sophie couldn’t run and chase after her!!
My little bird:
Chevy stayed with Grandma & Grandpa and WE GOT TO play with our friends up at the Silver Star Bike Park!
Having far to much fun to stop to have some pictures….well not until we got down to the bottom at the end of the day to quench our thirsts!
Westbank had a fun weekend called “Westside Days!”
The local First Nations Band had a lot to see, even some singing, story telling and beautiful dancing and crafts!!!
Bear wrestling!
Playing with hula-hoops!
A VERY beautiful dug out canoe!
Running up and down the same hill countless times is sooooo much fun!!! you gotta try it!
Then we headed over to the Carnival side of the event:
Chevy could NOT wait long enough for me to buy the tickets once she saw the rides for her!!
For the most part, Chevy sat in this fish with her hands clasp together like this:
She was having a grand time!!! I couldn’t pry her off the ride…. we did each one twice!
The train ride:
Not to mention that she also cleaned my wallet out when we played the games there….
Lady Godiva??
the weather has been so nice we decided that from now on, we’ll be painting outside!
An afternoon at one of our favorite beaches…
Three Mile Beach in Naramata:
Chevy & I went to “Parrot Island” which a very busy (bird-wise) bird sanctuary right here in Peachland!
Chevy is having a chat with one of the residents:
Pretty bird!
Can’t say that I wasn’t warned about these birds being fast:
I thought I would get a close up of this pretty guy…
…closer…..
Now that’s too close!!
He got a hold of the camera and broke a piece of it off. I was able to retrieve the broken part and glue it back on….but it was my own fault!! =D
An afternoon at the Peachland Park downtown
Ice cream for lunch????
Heck YAH!!!
And then one afternoon we checked out the KVR Steam Train out in Summerland!!
And we get Live entertainment for the whole ride!!! He even took requests!
Chevy’s expression as she heard the train whistle as we started our ride:
Loving the ride!!
At the end of the line, the engine had to unhook and go to the other end to pull us back to the main station again!
If you know where to look…there’s Grandma & Grandpa’s house:
Chevy & I in front of the Steam engine:
Chevy Chasing Amelia< Aunty Nora’s new barn cat:
Taking her horse, Annie out for some exercise:
Aunty Erika came for a ride with us too!
All this fun was followed by a huge dinner with lots of friends and family at Aunty Nora & Uncle Grants place:
See you next month!
