Training Day….

March 25th, 2006

Today about 10 of us from work were able to go out to the Justice Institute in Maple Ridge to play with fire!

I let the pictures tell the story:

The JI custom built an Aircraft engine/undercarriage training prop for us to play with!

After lunch, we got to play with car fires…

Later, JI Instructors gave us a few tips on accessing inaccessible compartments….the easy way.

We had a great day, and of course, picked up a few new tricks!

2 dogs playing
+ 6 big holes in dog
+ 3 drug cocktail
+ 2 drain tubes
+ 700.00 Visa bill
= priceless ….. because my Little dog is worth every penny….

Little Harley got chewed up by her buddy next door so she won’t be riding for a while…… Earlier today she was next door playing with her friend and got a bit carried away, turning into a fight where Harley was stuck in the fence corner unable to get away. We all thought she was Ok, but when I got her home and gave her a bath, I started to find holes all over her and a very tender right leg and abdomen….. Knowing that her injuries were a bit beyond my expertise, I took her to the Clinic up the road. After her intial examination, it was decided that the Vet needed to have a better look at her and also install some drain tubes in her neck and groin, and stich close the rest of the holes….. She was so “out of it” when she came home, I had to take advantage of her and take some pictures:

I’m the little tiny person walking towards the scene from the big red truck(#1) on the far left of the scene…

….more importantly, the 2 paramedics and 2 pilots on the Beech King 200 were unharmed and safely exited the plane once it came to a stop.
