and
Josh (from work) came out for a rematch today.
This time we added a few new challenges: Pouring rain and 2 new trails.
We started with CBC – Josh went for the tricky lines all down the trail, only skipping the skinny log rides, even I shied away from them – I felt too sketchy (bad memories of a wet log ride), and loved every second of it!
Over to Corkscrew and Pingu – Josh remembered this one – you could tell! =) Just nailed everything….
Then time for another new trail….The Boogeyman! We ripped! I didn’t tell Josh about the amazing log ride – I think he was pleasantly surprised. If you’ve seen/ridden it, then you know what I am talking about. Its pretty damn cool. The rest of you will just have to come and see it…..
Last trail was the bottom half of Pangor – I think we were both getting tired around here, Josh’s grips were all wet and twisty, and I had he old HT/SS out. We deserved the beer at the end of the ride…..
Cheers,
b
So it’s been a while…..since I last wrote. Been doing a lot of running lately tho. But its torture and not very pretty. I am into this self abuse only because I hafta – we are having a “Fitness Evaluation” (that’s what THEY call it) later next month, and running is a part of it. yecch. It’s getting easier everytime I do it.
But TODAY!!!!! Josh from work came out to play, after a summer of talking about it! Finally.
Took Josh down “Corkscrew”, “Pingu”, “Pangor”…you know, the Usual. Right away, Josh just goes for some of the hardest lines – he’s nuts. He’s never seen it before, it’ wet and slick. ANd he just goes for it….And sticks it too! I just giggled…..just wait until he sees what else there is! it is so refreshing to take someone new out for a ride – you get reminded of just how cool it all is, the trails, the amazing forest…..
Whatever the trail dished out tonight, Josh stomped. We had to hurry down the trails cause we started a bit late and it was almost too dark to really see where we were going. I know the trail and I had trouble….all the leaves are on the ground, covering the trail – no light…what a rush! I’m out – b
