SATURDAY, AUGUST 9, 2003
The drive to Merritt:
Stopped in at BONZAI CYCLES to pick up the owner, Darryl, who was our personal local guide. For 10 bucks they supply a dude to drive your vehicle down to the bottom! Now THAT”S service!!! 
The top….
Very pretty woodsie section:
about 4000 vert decent, small short climbs, some really steep rock lines that were scary, some sections are very fresh….a mixed bag. This place has everything!!!
Traditional signage, personally handcrafted by the locals….
Germans:”Ve ar zo happy.” “Ja, happy.”
Brazil: “Uhh, I just met these guys…”
Near the bottom, things got a little rocky, but it was so COOL!
Three hours of riding now and we’re still going….
Funny thing keeps happening to our geusts after riding…..
Back to Vancouver….who knew there’d be grid lock on the Hwy in the middle of the weekend???? ….Oh….the Abbotsford Airshow!
The boys had one more day with Johnny, I had to go back for work on Sunday. See how their day went here at BUSH PILOT BIKING web log.
I think the German boys had a great time and will come back again…I hope!
Leandro stayed a few more days to play, rented a car and hung out in Whistler for a while….last I heard, he was in Williams Lake having a blast after a couple days in Sun Peaks. We are expecting him back here soon to catch his flight home….he will be missed.
