SUNDAY JULY 20,2003

Got the orange pickers up to an early start. Had to fill them full of my pancakes and bacon while Johnny built up their bikes.

Hit the road up to the top of ol’ Peat Bog. first up: Upper Bog, Code 4 to Emergency Exit, back to lower Bog. The boys were loving every minute. great way to warm up to whats to come. Unfortunately, Gary had a minor wipe out but as he rolled away, he smoked a tree with his foot and we think that he may have broken a couple bones in the top of his foot. Bummer, man. Champ that Gary is, he came along for the second lap and carried the helmet camera all the way down taking the shots for the whole crew! Second lap was back to Upper Bog then to the Knuckle Duster.

I finally did the road drop. Flailed a bit but stuck the landing. Over to the wood step down gap….this time I went up to it and looked at it and could actually see it…how easy it was!

The landing is right there! So I went back for it and nailed it! A little front heavy, but I made it all the same! I am so stoked!!

The first time is definitely the hardest…after that it doesn’t seem so big anymore. The usual route back to the bottom and off to the lake for a swim after we picked up the van from up top and got some more supplies for the evening.

What was for dinner you ask? mmmmmm, steaks on the BBQ! Of course. Oh and fresh corn too….mmmm so good. Slept under the stars – never slept better. Those guys are missing out. Great sleep for all….cause there’s more tomorrow!

G’night!
