Wow! Right after Holidays, straight into a block of night shifts. Hard to sleep during the day, especially with the heat AND the Day Care next door….
Right after my last night shift I stayed after work to replace the rear brakes on the van. A short nap after I got home and I packed our gear up and we drove to Penticton….sans bikes.
We went for a little R & R at “Rancho Relaxo” (parents place). Swam in the lake many times, a tons of peaches right from the tree, made lots of fresh apricots jam for Mom….and just layed about and read books. It was a rest that was well derserved!
Two more days of work and 4 new days off! Might even go for a few rides…really want to get out n the one speed and do some climbing now that it has cooled off a little. Thank gawd it rained some….the forests really needed it!
