OK. I know. I am lame. I haven’t been writting here in a very long while. I know I promised to keep updating this…but who reads this c**p anyway??? Anybody???? Beuller??? Beuller?
So I’ll lay it all out for yah….for those who give a rats ass.
The scoop on the Shoregirls Weekend in May up in Penticton…well, its still coming. I am waiting for the photos from Mr. Hylands, and a constructive critiqing, I must add, from Mr Smoke. Until then, hold tight. I think I will post it on the Shoregirls Page when it is ready to be viewed.
I finally have my new bike!
It is so sexy!!! And I really wish that I had time tofigure out how to post pictures right here so I can further taunt and tease y’all with my sexy new ride. you’d all be jealous…ewww so jealous!! hehehehe. I can’t say enough about the Peeler, and what it has done for my riding these days….let me tell you more:
Been doing a bunch of local riding, in my back yard – Seymour – of course, but I managed to fit ina ride out to Cypress last week. I was riding with Chaz, Damo and Johnny. We hit Blind Skier, Paul Hogans, Firehose and the new one: Family Guy. What a hoot. If you like the steeps check it out!
Even further back – spent 2 days with the crew from Drop IN TV out in beautiful Squamish. Lerned some new things that I could do…. I actuall hit a few jumps/stunts that had previously frightened me……whew! Those guys, however, are a riot. Jared was a beer drinking fiend. “Who wants to SHOTGUN a BEER?” was heard about every 10 minutes or so….. I hate Jared…he doesn’t get hangovers. He’ll grow out of that one I’m sure! Sucka. These guys know how to rip it up, and I really enjoyed my short time with them. Can’t wait until the next time. What more can I say?
Hmmmm what else??? OH! Went to Sun Peaks Bike Park for the opening weekend (June 27 – 30) with the boys from NSMB.COM. An I am sure that if you go and check out their site, you will find out more about just how fun our weekend was. In a nutshell: Drive as fast as the van can go the Kamloops, many beer along the way. Arrive at our sweet condo, unload and within 5 minutes of arrival we’re in the hottub (clothingoptional), followed by – more beer.
Saturday – breakfast and rip in the bike park until closing – followed by….Beer andsome food – and then more riding: 2 laps of Whitecroft. Unfortunaltely the stunts/jumps have been taken down. We heard rumour about the stunts/jumps being returned….but it was only a rumour….hopefully later this summer. Anywho – back at the condo…..more beer and more hottub and by 12:30 the boys went to the pub. I was tired and hit the hay, but I was told that in the bar there were 30 men and 3 women. One lucky guy…and I won’t name names (Casey) left with 2 of them! Do yah think He got some????
Sunday – breakfast in the village again, but this time we all went to Harper Mountain to check out some of the new building going off there. Huge gaps, one was totally wooden, the other had a dirt tranny. Another cool feature was a bitchin corkscrew made out of wood, and more lower lying stunts. All of it extremely kewl. Brandon (Barkerville Bandit) and Curt Doyle (Doyler) strikes again!! You boys rock! After this run, we swung over to Mt Lolo to rip down that. I am so glad I went cause I made stuff I walked around in tripos before!!! Yahoo!. At the end of the ride….beeeeeers by the roadside. Chinese dinner in town before we headed back up to Sun Peaks where we learned how to spin menus on one finger from Morgan. It could have been a disasterous mess. Back at the condo….more hottub but this time we were out of beer…it was alright tho – cause everyonme was too tired to really care. Monday – breaky in the villlage once more and after a few repairs – back out in the bike park. I think we were all feeling “it” one by one guys were dropping out til there was just me and Colin left for one more run of Sugar. I blew the line on a log ride came off running and when my bike fell, the rear brake line was broken. This made the rest of the trail really challenging. I was fighting off the nose wheelies on the steep rooty pitches, but of course when I couldn’t fight it anymore, I landed in the shrubbery. All we had left was the drive home. yuck.
A note to those who dedicate some free time to come out and help during trail maintenance days….this Sunday, July 6 is a COVE BIKE SHOPand NSMBAsponsored maintenance day out on CBC. So bring some work gloves, an appetite for lunch and come join us. We’ll meet at the BEAN AROUND THE WORLD @ 9 am (free coffee) and shuttled up by CHUCKWAGON TOURS and BUSHPILOT BIKING, schwagg from the COVE BIKE SHOP, lunch by SCHNEIDERS and SAFEWAY, and apres work appies and beer at the RAVEN PUB
Hope to see y’all there!
Over….and out
PS: I got the job out at the airport! I get to drive huge machines…and I love it! Being so close to the airplanes is really wild!!! hee-hee!
Oh and – I’m gonna race in the World Cup at Grouse! I don’t expect much – haven’t been training, and I won’t have much time to train before the race, but I just want to be there….it’s gonna be so cool!
BTW: for those who care or even notice….Johnny Smoke DID NOT write this, even tho it sez so up top. I just want him to be insulted by my writing…..so there.
